The Mk7 Clubsport, Clubsport S and TCR are the hardcore Mk7 GTIs — the ones enthusiasts chase.
The trio:
- Clubsport (2016): ~265 hp (with overboost), aero, adjustable dampers, a stiffer setup — a sharper GTI you can daily.
- Clubsport S (2016): ~310 hp, two seats, no rear bench, semi-slicks, and a famous Nürburgring FWD lap record — a limited, collectible track weapon.
- TCR (2019): ~290 hp, the VAQ diff, bigger brakes, near-Clubsport-S pace with usability — the Mk7's send-off.
Buying: all are EA888 Gen 3 underneath — the same Mk7 checks (water pump, DSG, carbon), plus confirm originality and, on the S, that the two-seat layout is factory.
