Imrc Intake Flap

MrGTI house reference

The intake-manifold runner flaps on the FSI/TSI engines fail and throw P2015 — one of the most common check-engine lights on the Mk5/Mk6 (and the shared 2.0T).

What it is: the plastic intake manifold has swirl/runner flaps on a shaft driven by a small motor and position sensor. The flap-lever pin wears out, so the sensor can no longer read the flap position → P2015 (intake runner position sensor).

Symptoms: a CEL with P2015, occasionally a slight low-end drivability niggle.
